Tom Ward

Tom founded Sandstorm in 2000 and has guided the company and our clients through the many changes that have happened since in film and advertising. Although he champions using the right tool for every project, whether film, digital or AI, without doubt, Tom is most fond of traditional film-making and is happiest on-set with a TechnoDolly.

Jason Dollery

Jason has been part of the Sandstorm team since 2016, although his role has changed over the last few years with us, mainly working as a consultant for the business and more recently focusing on our Brand Partnerships. Our lovely TechnoDolly assistant and driver, Ethan is a brilliant set of hands on your production and has been with us now for 4 years.

Cam Smith

Cam has worked with the team since 2018. He is a superb camera operator and TechnoDolly Assistant, as well as having a natural eye for within the lighting team. Perfect if you are shooting as a small team, or rehearsing without the main unit, he can an invaluable addition to the shoot.

Frazer Hopkins

Frazer has a deep knowledge of Q-Take and Trigger synchronisation as well as working as a TechnoDolly assistant. He is on hand when complex moves require multiple layers of video, triggers sending to sound, light, SFX etc. N.B. We also have a full Q-Take setup with monitoring available.

Ayo Hughes

Ayo spent over twenty years in some of the world’s leading creative agencies, producing TV commercials and integrated campaigns. In his agency production role he met Tom and Sandstorm in 2001. The two have worked together ever since, traditionally with Ayo as the agency lead and now, as of 2016, as the strategy lead for Sandstorm.
