Synopsis
Debbie Scott, an influencer turned film producer, runs what she proudly calls “Hollywood in the UK countryside” — a studio she presents as thriving, ambitious and in control.
As dementia erodes his sense of time and continuity, the film follows Richard Wadsworth, a retired Hollywood editor desperately trying to finish his final cut. The line between the film Debbie is producing and the life she is staging begins to blur — until an intimate portrait of care, denial and an industry that believes every failure can be fixed in post.

Our Director
Thomas J Ward — known on set as Tom Ward — specialises in visual effects cinematography, helping post-production teams capture exactly what they need to make heavy post work as painless as possible.
Tom focuses primarily on work with the TechnoDolly repeatable camera crane system. He began his career in 2000 in London and has run Sandstorm since then. From 2003–2019 most of his work was directing; The (First) Last Screenplay marks his return to long-form narrative — and his directorial debut as a feature filmmaker.
